How to Activate and Start the Beta of Toon Boom Ember on Windows

If you have a Toon Boom Account, you can sign up for the Beta of Toon Boom Ember via the Toon Boom store by following the steps below. Please note that terms and conditions apply when using the Ember Beta, and you will be notified with an agreement document during this process.

Step 1: Download and install the Beta 25 software on Windows

1. Choose either Storyboard Pro 25 or Harmony 25, and click on the corresponding Download for Windows button. 

2. Once your download has completed, double click on the downloaded installer file to start the installation. 
3. The InstallShield Wizard opens.
4. Select the language for the installation of your software. Once your choice is selected, press OK.

5. Wait for the installation to complete. The Toom Boom InstallShield Wizard will then prompt you to continue the process. Click on Next.

6. The Toon Boom License Agreement will appear. Carefully read the terms and conditions in the agreement, and accept by selecting I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click on Next when you’re done.

7. Choose the installation location of the Toon Boom software. If you wish to change the location, click on Change to select a new location. Click on Next when you are ready to continue. 

8. Select the installation type that you want. If you are a single user in your environment, install the Standalone version of the product. Click on Next when you are ready to continue. 

9. Once the software is installed, press Finish to complete the process.

Your Toon Boom 25 Beta software is now installed. Move on to the next step to activate it.

Step 2: Activate your Beta license

1. On your Desktop, double-click on the Storyboard Pro 25 or Harmony 25 Premium icon. The Toon Boom Activation Wizard window will appear:

2. In the Email field, enter the Toon Boom ID that you used earlier to sign up for the Toon Boom Ember Beta. 
3. In the Password field, enter your password.
4. Click the Sign In button when done.

5. A window displaying your product licenses will appear. Click on Activate next to your Storyboard Pro 25 or Harmony 25 Premium license.

6. A new window will open displaying the status of your license activation. You can click on Start Harmony Premium/Storyboard Pro to launch the software, or click OK to conclude the license activation.
